Ethanol is a renewable fuel made from various plant materials, including corn, grains, and

crop waste materials. When combined with gasoline, ethanol helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality. A variety of ethanol-blended fuels are available in the U.S., from E10 (10% ethanol, 90% gasoline) to E85 (85% ethanol, 15% gasoline) for flexible fuel vehicles.
